What’s it like working at CAP?
We pride ourselves in being a great place to work. We value hard work, but we also value rest. We are all about community and opportunities for personal growth.
Culture and Benefits:
Flexible working hours
5 weeks annual leave
Learning and professional development opportunities
Annual staff conference
Morning prayer and ministry time
Culture of generosity and community
We are located in the beautiful Newcastle CBD, on the light rail line. It’s just short walk to quality coffee and various lunch options.
The biggest benefit is absolutely the opportunity to know that, every day, your poverty-busting work saves families, homes and even lives.
“I love the culture, the people and having leaders that want to see you succeed. There’s always something new happening. I think people should apply for a job at CAP if they want to serve God’s kingdom alongside some amazing people”
- Kealy, Donor Development Manager
“I get a great sense of value from knowing that what I spend my time doing is helping people. I had been looking for a job where I can make a difference and found it at CAP. If you want to make a difference in someone’s (many someone’s!) life, then CAP is a great place to work! You would be working with a great bunch of big hearted and funny people too.”
- Bart, Client Setup Administrator
A typical day at CAP might look like…
Our start and leave time is flexible and we do our best to help you have a good work/life balance.
At 8:45am we all gather together for prayer and worship. This is such a valuable time where you’ll be inspired and informed for the day.
Then, it’s back to working together to fight Aussie poverty!
At 10:30am it’s morning tea time (remember that good coffee we mentioned…)
Between 12:30-1:15 we eat lunch together (or you can head down to the park or harbour if that’s more your style!).
At 3pm it’s arvo tea, (on a Friday it’s not hard to convince someone to do a snack run!)
Then by 5pm we all head off home.
