This position is part time 2 days per week on a temporary 6-month contract

Location: Based in Western Australia

Reports to: Fundraising and Marketing Director

Context

The Fundraising and Marketing team exists to grow and deepen productive relationships with our amazing supporters, that everyone can celebrate.  We are driven to raise the money and form the partnerships needed to deliver CAP’s vision.

 

Purpose

The Key Supporter Relationship Manager (KSRM) works to inspire new and existing Key Supporters into greater involvement with Christians Against Poverty. By hosting fundraising dinners, connecting supporters to key projects and building relationship the KSRM aims to draw supporters closer to the work we do. Income from CAP’s ‘Key Supporters’ is vital for the future expansion of CAP Australia.

Vibrant and energetic, the KSRM is totally sold out to see the vision of CAP achieved – they know that without supporters and income we can’t open more poverty relieving services and change thousands of lives.

 

Role:

Accountabilities:

·       To be accountable for our Key Supporters within a specific geographical region of Australia (WA).

·       Build relationships with Key Supporters within the region to persuade them to engage with dinners, project work or other strategies to increase their support of and engagement with CAP

·       Within that region host and find new supporters to attend the annual CAP Fundraising dinner

·       Event manage Key Supporter events and Business Leader events – with the purpose of engaging new supporters into the vision of CAP

·       Handle and grow a caseload of donors from the region, with the aim of engaging them further with the work of CAP and generating project funds

·       To work with the CEO on the key strategies and development of Key Supporter income and relationship growth

·       Ensuring Key Supporters are verbally thanked for gifts donated to the charity promptly and appropriately

·       Regular reporting, analysing and planning of Key Supporters work

·       Phoning CAP supporters and volunteers with the aim of thanking them and increasing the support they give both financially and practically

·       To present CAP Church talks with the aim of inspiring Churches to get more involved with CAP and inspire individuals to become regular supporters of CAP (Life Changers) minimum expectation of 8 per year

·       To be available for the WA Regional Leader as needed to do face to face meetings with potential new churches or current CAP Centre staff to explain more about CAP or do a check in visit to help build relationship and local trust, minimum expectation of once per month

·       Responsible for passing on all new partnership leads to the correct team at head office

·       Responsible for ensuring that all ongoing relationship of churches is passed onto the WA Regional Leader

·       To ensure any local church partners and service-related enquiries (from Debt Coaches, CAP Money Coaches etc) are directed to head office at all times

·       To visit head office in Newcastle twice per year for training and engaging with the wider staff team and strategic planning

 

 

Measurable Outputs:

·       Achieve target number of new supporters (not given to CAP previously or in the last 2 years) attending the annual fundraising dinner

·       Achieve target number of existing supporters connected with over the course of a year

·       Donors thanked within 5 working days of receipt of donation

·       Achieve target amount of money generated through caseload project asks

·       Achieve target number of existing supporters maintaining and increasing their giving

·       Clearly live out and embrace the cultural values of CAP

·       Clearly demonstrate a heart and passion for the charity

 

Other responsibilities include

·       Being willing to pray with staff.

·       To encourage friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer program, and other fundraising initiatives.

 

Person Specification:

 Knowledge and Qualifications:

·       Degree level or equivalent experience (Fundraising, Sales, Business Development, Charity, Church)

 Experience:

·       Essential

o   Experience in driving and delivering results

o   Experience of having to meet deadlines or targets

o   High value relationship building

o   General office and administrative skills

o   Telephone based customer service

o   Experience of passion for the poor and evangelism, and outworking of this

·       Desirable

o   Experience of working remotely

o   Experience of asking people for money or to support projects

Other:

·       Must hold a current Drivers’ Licence

·       The candidate must be able to give both verbal assent to and practical demonstration of Christians Against Poverty’s Statement of Faith and Core Values

·       Must be able to actively participate in prayer and worship, whether individual, small group or corporately, as an expression of own personal faith and in line with CAP’s Statement of Faith.
