 This position is full time 5 days per week.

Reports to:        Fundraising and Marketing Director

Direct Reports: Supporter Relations Coordinator, CAP Money Campaign Manager and Donor Development Campaign Manager

Other Benefits: Holiday – 5 weeks per year (Jan – Dec)

Context

The Donor Development Manager is a key member our Fundraising and Marketing team. Responsible for driving the acquisition of new donors and identifying strategies to inspire existing donors. They hold responsibility for overall income raised through our supporter strategies and for ensuring that anyone choosing to engage with us as a supporter has a great experience.

 Purpose

To provide leadership and momentum to our strategies for acquisition and retention of regular donors and mid-level donors. To develop and oversee our supporter journeys, aiming to increase engagement for the purpose of increasing income. Working with senior leadership and the wider CAP staff, to be responsible for hitting targets through a combination of existing strategies and creative innovation.

 Role:

Accountabilities:

·       Provide strategic leadership to the vital area of recruiting individual supporters and inspiring them to give generously to CAP.

·       Provide strategic, effective and inspirational leadership to the Supporter Relations Co-ordinator, CAP Money Campaign Manager and Donor Development Campaign Manager.

·       Drive innovation and activity within this team to ensure growth in all areas of income and supporter engagement.

·       To be an active member of the Donor Development Team — this includes but is not limited to phone calls to supporters and churches with the primary aim of leading and driving other team members activity.

·       To be the point of communication with other teams on Donor Development projects

·       Member of Fundraising and Marketing Leadership Team.

 Measurable Outputs:

·       Number of new Life Changers.

·       Number of cancelled Life Changers.

·       Income generated through Life Changers.

·       Number of donors attending each fundraising dinner.

·       Income generated from each fundraising dinner.

·       % of supporter relations service standards achieved.

 Other responsibilities include:

·       Being willing to pray with staff.

·       To encourage friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer program, and other fundraising initiatives.

 Person:

Education:

·       Degree level or equivalent experience

 Experience:

·       Essential

o   Experience of leading teams to meet key objectives or targets.

o   Experience of having to meet deadlines or targets.

o   Experience of project management.

 ·       Desirable

o   At least 2 years previous leadership and management experience within a fundraising environment.

o   Experience of networking and influencing.

o   Experience of pioneering a new project.

o   Experience of training and developing effective individuals.

o   Experience of training and developing effective teams.

·       The candidate must be able to give both verbal assent to and practical demonstration of Christians Against Poverty’s Statement of Faith and Core Values
